Our decision-making scheme controls\nplausible avoidance behavior depending on\nthe positional relations among surrounding\npersons, on the basis of a two-stage personal\nspace and a virtual memory structure as\nproposed in social psychology. Our system\ndetermines pedestrian walking speed with\nthe crowd density to imitate the measured\ndata in urban engineering, and automatically\ngenerates plausible motions of the individual\npedestrian by composing a locomotion graph\nwith motion capture data.
