As can be seen from the\n“ZOKUSETSU-SEIGO （correction of the popular beliefs）” of the subtitle, part of the\ncontents are concerned with explaining and then refuting what was believed by the\npublic in those days. For example, although everyone believe that Shotoku-taishi is a\ncarpenter’s originator, he is not so, because a temple was built before his birth.\nAlthough there are many books by carpenter publisheds from the Edo to Meiji\nperiods, it is one of a few books which deal with more than simply technique.\n　“SUHARAYA-MOHEE”, the greatest publisher of that time published this book, in\nthe “Sensyobo” style.
